America's Political Problems
By Rhea!

This very insightful information came into my inbox and I would love to know who the author is so email me if you know.

I believe the answer to fixing the entire American governmental system is hidden in these facts. Read them and decide for yourself.

    than Target sells all year.

    K-Mart combined.

Facts About America's Federal Government

  1. The U.S. Postal Service was established in 1775. They have had 234 years

to get it right and it is broke.

  2. Social Security was established in 1935. They have had 74 years to get it

    right and it is broke.

  3. Fannie Mae was established in 1938. They have had 71 years to get it

    right and it is broke.

  4. The War on Poverty started in 1964. They have had 45 years to get it right; $1 trillion of our money is confiscated each year and transferred to "the poor" and they only want more.
  5. Medicare and Medicaid were established in 1965. They have had 44 years to

get it right and they are broke.

  6. Freddie Mac was established in 1970. They have had 39 years to get it right and it is broke.
  7. The Department of Energy was created in 1977 to lessen our dependence on

foreign oil. It has ballooned to 16,000 employees with a budget of $24 billion a year yet we import more oil than ever before. They had 32 years to get it right and it is an abysmal failure.

  8. The federal government has FAILED in every "government service" it has shoved down our throats while overspending our tax dollars.

And they want Americans to believe they can be trusted with a government-run health care system?

Here are my comments:

If you want to govern a country, learn to govern a business first.

Before that, learn to govern your house, which actually starts with governing yourself.

If you want to make an impact in the world, encourage your children to start a business. When they are successful, they will be qualified to run for public office. If they get elected, their passive income will continue to support them while they serve the people.

If you don't know where to start but want to learn the basics of economics and how it affects government, read the book How to Understand Economics in 1 Hour.

It will change your perspective and may even change your life.

What I'd really like to see is Wal-Mart's CEOs run for office. In fact, I'm officially challenging each of them to run. I predict that just one of them could turn this country around in less than 10 years.

The first item on the agenda of restructuring leadership would be how to accomplish anything with Congress.

(If you know any CEOs at Wal-Mart, I dare you to forward this challenge to them.)
