Since today is the 10th of the month, I read Proverbs 10 and was impressed with how many times the Amplified version of the Bible says God's people are to be in harmony with Him.

It seems that is the major goal we are to achieve in our life on this earth - being in complete harmony with God.

It's not always as easy as it seems but even though we mess up on occasion, God even has a plan for that in his ability to forgive when we repent.

The main harmony we need to find in our lives is in the education and fulfillment of our calling.

Each one of us has been put on this earth to serve a specific purpose. Each one of us has been given a job to do.

We have been given specific tools, natural abilities and nagging desires to do "something."

Our role in the journey, which continually holds unexpected challenges and rewards, is to find the path, get the training, stay on the path, correct when we get off the path and accomplish the mission, whatever it is.

We also have a say about which mission we pursue. God has given us the freedom to "do whatever our hands love to do."

People who haven't found their mission tend to stall. They focus on having their daily needs met. They focus on themselves instead of the task at hand.

Basically, they are often blind to the eternal things of the world and settle for less than what God has intended for them.

They not only cheat themselves, they also cheat the God who set them in place to perform some function and those who would benefit from the service they would provide.

If you haven't found your place yet, keep going.

If you haven't gotten the right education for YOUR calling, keep going.

If you aren't serving others the way you think you are supposed to be, keep going.

If you are on the path but haven't arrived yet, keep going.

If you don't feel like you are in complete harmony with God, keep going until you find the peace that surpasses all understanding.

If you are clueless about what your life purpose is, then ask the Lord, ask yourself and ask others around you to help you find your path in life. The best place to be is in partnership with your Creator doing the thing you were created to do and acting in peace with those who are around you.

If you are stalled and confused, get started. Just take one step. Figure out what one thing you can do is and go.

The secret to life is to "keep going."

And be faithful to your God, your family and yourself along the way.

"It is he who perseveres to the end who shall be saved."

That means, "keep going"!
