Our Community

An online community like none other you’ve ever experienced has grown out of a Yahoo! Group we started in 2002.

We called it the Entrepreneurs at Home.

I wanted a place online where I could talk about my newest find, Robert Kiyosaki and his Rich Dad books, without having to defend my admiration for him and my Christian beliefs.

We started off talking about eBay that I had had some success with. Then I mentioned a few house stories that my son was creating. Then when my second son started learning web design and Internet marketing, I started sharing tips about how to make money online.

Before long, our small group started growing and we started taking polls and sponsoring contests with cash prizes. Then…

Rhea’s Entrepreneur Days!

After seriously thinking about my sanity, I invited 300 members of another online group to my house in October of 2001. I was surprised when 50 women brought 50 children for 1 day from 18 states… and four flew!

None of us could believe it.

So we did it again the next year… we invited half, charged a fee to pay for the Porta Potty … and had the same results.

Patti Thompson drove family five hours so that her accountant husband who wanted to become a real estate investor could meet my 18 year old real estate investor son. After that, her husband became a real estate investor and now Patti is my business partner.

The third year, my husband said the house wouldn’t hold the crowd, so we rented Heritage Christian University in Florence, Alabama and hosted our first official Entrepreneur Days in October of 2003.

Experts in several different fields came to share their expertise on business that anyone could do from home. 220 attendees came from 21 states and Canada!

And that launched what is now called Entrepreneur Days which is held twice a year across the United States .

Our Yahoo! Group™

The Yahoo! Group still exists and is open to men, women and teenagers from all over the country who discuss topics of entrepreneurial nature… all for free.

We encourage everyone to learn how to sell on eBay because that is the fastest way to supplement or replace your income there is today. eBay is the Niagara Falls of economic activity. If you stick your little tin cup into its flow, you’ll be blown away!

We still share real estate stories and members frequently ask questions or submit success stories on whatever they are doing.

In 2004, we produced our first e-book, ConfessionsofaBookjunkie.

The book was compiled and edited by Mary Jo Tate of Mississippi and contains stories about books, written by some of the bookjunkies in the group.

The site was built by members who won contests for various aspects such as copywriting, web design, and graphic design. We even have our own theme song. Click Play to hear it.

Our Membership Site

When I started coaching with Internet millionaire Armand Morin, he explained to me that our community needed a place for those entrepreneurs who may not appreciate all the email in their inbox.

So together, we built EntrepreneursatHome.net, a membership site full of articles, audio interviews, news and a discussion board with resident experts.

It also has an affiliate program so that members can create passive residual income for themselves.

One of the benefits of being a member is being able to participate for free in bi-monthly conference calls with experts in a variety of fields.

To find out who our call this week is with, be sure to visit our Preview Page.

Join Us Live!

Whether you enjoy e-mail or visiting a board, make sure you stay in touch through our newsletter so you can join us when we host the next Entrepreneur Days! We’d love to meet you!

Get the Audios!

And if you just can’t make it, at least get the CDs. They just may change your life!

Join us Online!

If you’re still not sure about this bunch, we understand. Before I sent that first email inviting these crazy people to my house, I hesitated over hitting that Send button for at least five minutes.

I told myself, “There are crazy people in the world and many of them are on the Internet. There’s no telling who will be coming to my house.”

But the Lord assured me it was okay. After all, these were homeschool moms. And boy, am I glad I clicked that one little button. It has changed my life and given me new direction for encouraging others.

So if you want to lurk online and check us out, we’d love to have you join us. Don’t feel like you have to participate in the discussions until you feel comfortable. There are people of vision, wisdom and experience there who can help you with your financial woes. Even if you’ve never been on a discussion group before, join us. You’ll be glad you did!
